Article Processing Charges

Authors are asked to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) in order for their article to be published Open Access under a Creative Commons licence. This covers the costs involved in every stage of the publication process, from administrating peer-review to copy editing and hosting the final article on dedicated servers.

If you do not wish for your article to be published Open Access, you can choose the subscription route. This means that there is no APC to pay. Please note that this option is only available for Hybrid journals.

To find the APC information, please look for the Fees and Funding section on the journal homepage.

Alternatively, you you can do the following:

  1. Visit our website
  2. Download the list of:
    • Springer Nature fully open access journals
    • Hybrid journals
  3. From the spreadsheet file, you will see the APC price and licence information.
